Right of withdrawal & returns

A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor their independent professional activity.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement.

You may use the model withdrawal form below. This is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of the original standard delivery.

This does not include additional costs arising from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us.

Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal.

We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fees for the reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

Returns

You must send the goods back without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the withdrawal.

The deadline is met if you send the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired.

You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

This also applies to returns from abroad, where legally permitted.

We will provide the return address after receiving your withdrawal.

Condition of returned items

As we only offer vintage, pre-owned and second-hand items, our products are often unique pieces that have already been used.

You may inspect the goods to the extent possible in a retail store.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Please handle items carefully during inspection and avoid additional damage, soiling or signs of use.

Signs of wear already shown in the product description or photos are of course not affected.

Returns from abroad

For returns from countries outside Germany, additional customs duties, import charges, taxes or handling fees may arise depending on the country.

These costs are not covered by liffeyzarchive and must be borne by the buyer where legally permitted.

For international returns, the shipment should be declared correctly as returned goods (“Returned Goods”) if required for the respective customs process.

We recommend keeping the shipping receipt and tracking number until the return is complete.

Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts where a legal exception from the right of withdrawal applies.

This is particularly relevant for our shop:

There is no right of withdrawal for goods made to customer specifications or clearly tailored to the personal needs of the customer.

For our vintage, pre-owned and second-hand bags, the right of withdrawal generally applies even if the item has already been used or shows age-related signs of wear.

The statutory right of withdrawal cannot therefore be excluded solely because the item is a vintage or pre-owned item.
